Fleetoku is a daily browser puzzle where character knowledge and grid constraints work together. A good solving session is not about making the fastest first guess; it is about keeping every choice consistent with the clues that remain.

Before choosing a character

• Identify the clue with the fewest plausible matches.
• Write down two candidates instead of committing to the first familiar name.
• Check each candidate against every clue in its row and column.
• Prefer a choice that creates information for neighboring cells.

When the grid stalls

1. Revisit any answer that relied on recognition rather than deduction.
2. Look for a contradiction shared by multiple candidates.
3. Remove only the candidate that fails a visible clue; avoid resetting proven cells.
4. Test whether the remaining clue combination has a unique answer.

Interface observations

On mobile, clue text should stay readable without forcing horizontal scrolling. A rejected answer should explain enough to support the next deduction, and the completion state should make the solved grid distinct from an unfinished one.
